What Sarah J Mass' Character names mean
You might know that I am sarah J.Maas trash, so it is only logical that I wasted my time looking up her character name's meanings. In the end I ended up on this site, which gave me a lot of definitions. Don't know to what extent they are accurate, so take what I write here with a pinch of salt.

Morrigan
Has a Celtic origin and means "war goddess". When I found that out I was fangirling like crazy.
Lysandra
Comes from Greek and means "One who is freed". No spoilers but the ones who have read Queen of Shadows will know *wink*.
Ianthe
It also comes from Greek and is "a violet, purple coloured flower". Ianthe is a nymph in Greek Mytholodgy. It fits her personality very well.
Aelin
Her name comes from old english, and it means "Swift and strong, clever and proud". It pretty much sums up her character. Even though I would personamlly add wicked.
Elain
In Welsh Elain holds the meaning of "fawn". To be honest, in the books, she is mostly useless and kinda cute.
Maeve
This one come from Gaelic and means "Intoxicating one", she is also a"queen in Irish legend". I suppose that when you have a cadre of hot males who literally are bound to you, you must be pretty intoxicating.
Elide
Elide comes from Latin and means "small and winged". Basically an angel.
Manon
This one is French and means "Bitter". No comment needed, I hope.
Okay so what do you guys think? I just realised there are only females on this list.
